Our project has been developed in line with the Family Integrated Care Model. Family Integrated Care is a model that integrates parents as partners in the NICU care team and provides a structure that supports the implementation of family-centred care. Research suggests that FICare decrease parent stress, results in fewer infections, improves infant growth and breastfeeding rates.
